Santa’s Workshop ~ Diary of Ashlee the Elf!

My friend Bobbijean

  Santa in the toyshop

Hi everyone!

How are you doing? I am doing great! We had another busy day today working on Santa’s gift list. We are doing an inventory to make sure every name on the list receives a special toy. We worked in the toyshop from 7:30 am until lunchtime.

After lunch my friend Bobbijean, Mrs. Claus, and I went into town to buy some sugar and flour to bake our cookies. We are having a big Christmas Party tomorrw night so we need to bake all kinds of goodies.

Today I baked chocolate chip cookies, and my famous Peanut Butter Cookies.  My friends Crystal and Bobbijean made some fudge.  Mrs. Claus made the gingerbread men, sugar cookies and the cupcakes. Even Santa worked in the kitchen with us decorating the cookies and cupcakes. Tomorrow we have to bake the pies and donuts. I think we are also going to bake some bread for the sandwiches.

Every year we have a big party the weekend before Christmas. It is always so much fun…the whole town is invited. The Reindeer always take the children for a ride in the sleigh, we sing Christmas carols and stuff ourselves with goodies. I cannot wait!

I have some good news, the reindeer had their final inspection  today and everyone passed.  I am so proud of Donner as he lost 23 pounds. (Remember all the reindeer used to make fun of him because he was too fat). Oh yea, Rudolph wanted me to tell you that he is ready to go for Christmas eve.

Well I better say goodbye for now. Mrs. Claus is calling me to go down stairs for some warm cider and blue berry muffins.

Talk to you later! Kiss

Santa’s Workshop ~ Diary of Ashlee the Elf!

Santa helping us carry presents today

Hi everyone & my new friend Stephanie!

How are you doing? I am doing great! We have been so busy getting ready for Christmas eve that I haven’t had time to write to you lately (Sorry!).  I have been helping Santa check his list to make sure he hasn’t forgotten anyone. (Note to Stephanie: I found your name on Santa’s list….it says that you have been good this year).

We are almost finished wrapping all the presents. I really like to wrap the toys but I have to admit my fingers are starting to get tired from tying the bows. You should see Santa’s house, it is stuffed to the ceiling with toys.

Santa let us take the afternoon off so my friends Crystal, Charlie, and I went skiing. We had so much fun. Can you believe I did not even fall down! We only got to ski for two hours as it gets dark early here. It starts to get dark around 4 o’clock.

When we got back from skiing, we helped Mrs. Claus cook supper.  We had delicious homemade bread, macaroni and cheese and chocolate pudding (yum!) for dessert.

After supper we all went for a sleigh ride because Santa wanted the Reindeer to get some practice before Christmas eve. Even though it was snowing, we still had a lot of fun. We sang Christmas carols and drank hot chocolate from a thermos. I wish you could see the North Pole from the sky like we can…everything is so magical.  It looks like Millions of pretty lights dancing on the snow.

My poor cat Ruby had a scare tonight. She climbed the giant Christmas Tree outside of Santa’s house and got stuck.  When we returned from our sleigh ride, we heard Ruby crying (meowing) for help. It was really scary because she was way up near the star. Luckily Santa and Ruldoph flew to the top of the tree and saved her. I hope Ruby learned her lesson and will not climb any more christmas Trees.

Well I better say goodbye for now as I have to put on my pajamas before Mrs. Claus calls us for our snack. I think we are having peanut butter crackers (my favorite!)

Talk to you tomorrow!

Ashlee ….  Your favorite elf … I Hope! Kiss

P.S. I received an email from my new friend Stephanie the other day.  I guess people have been teasing her about Santa.  I don’t understand why anyone would be so mean.  Christmas is the best time of the year!  Why can’t everyone be happy and let the Spirit of Christmas shine on through Santa. So Stephanie and all my other friends do not let mean people ruin your happiness.  There is really no reason to argue about Santa, as long as you believe in him, it does not matter what other people believe. Some people do not even believe elves are real, but both you and I know the truth.  Remember to be happy and listen to your parents.
