Hi everyone!
I guess it is officially the holiday season up here at the North Pole. Santa took the sleigh out today for his first ride since last Christmas eve. He even hitched up all the reindeer. Donner and Rudolph got into a fight about who was to be the lead reindeer. Donner did not think it is fair that Rudolph always gets to lead. Santa told everyone that until Christmas eve all the reindeer were going to get the chance to lead during practices. Santa said Rudolph will get his job back on Christmas eve. Rudolph did not like this idea and started to act really pouty until Blitzen reminded him that he is still the most important reindeer because of his nose.
Santa let us take an hour off from work this afternoon so we could all go for a ride in the sleigh. We didn’t go very far but we had a lot of fun. By the time we got back home, we all felt like icicles. We were all so happy when Mrs. Claus called us in for some hot chocolate before we went back to the toyshop.
Santa promised us he would take us for a ride again tomorrow as long as we started work early. Before I go to bed tonight I am going to look for my super-heavy yellow mittens and scarf so I won’t freeze again.
You won’t believe what happened to me today. While I was putting the batteries in the remote control airplanes I decided to try one to make sure it worked. Well, it wasn’t as easy to run the plane as I thought and the plane went crazy and knocked over Bobbijeans paint can which landed on my head. I started to cry and Bobbijean started to scream so Santa came running in.
Santa was very mad at me for fooling around and started to yell. He brought me to his house to have Mrs. Claus clean me up. As soon as Mrs.Claus saw me standing there crying and covered in purple paint, she started to laugh. Pretty soon Santa forgot he was mad at me and started laughing also. Mrs. Claus helped clean me up. When I was finished, Santa gave me some chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk so I guess he is not mad at me anymore.
I didn’t even have to go back to the toyshop as Mrs. Claus let me stay and help her cook supper-Spaghetti and meatballs with Italian Bread. We had Lime Jello with lots of whipped cream for dessert (yum!).
Mrs Claus still has not gotten her pictures of the Halloween Party yet. She thinks she will have them tomorrow. I can’t wait to show them to you; they are so funny.
Well it is getting late so I have to go find my mittens and scarf before it is snack time. I asked Mrs. Claus if we could have Peanut Butter crackers for our snack tonight and she just smiled. So keep your fingers crossed for me so we will have Peanut Butter crackers.
See you tomorrow!
